POSCO to invest 7 tln won in 'green growth'

SEOUL, Dec. 17 (Yonhap) -- POSCO Co., South Korea's biggest steel maker, said
Thursday it will invest 7 trillion won (US$6 billion) by 2018 in eco-friendly
projects.

The money will be used to develop synthetic natural gas, wind power plants, smart
nuclear reactors, fuel cells and smart grid technology, the company said in a
statement.
The investment is expected to generate annual sales of 10 trillion won by 2018,
according to the statement.
