Samsung Everland's stake in Samsung Life rises to 19.34 pct

SEOUL, Dec. 17 (Yonhap) -- Samsung Life Insurance Co. said Thursday Samsung
Everland Inc.'s stake in the nation's biggest life insurer has risen to 19.34
percent from 13.34 percent.

The change in Everland's stake came after the de facto holding company of Samsung
Group expired a five-year trust contract on a six-percent stake in Samsung Life
with SC First Bank, the life insurer said.
Despite the change, former Samsung Group chairman Lee Kun-hee, remained the
biggest shareholder of Samsung Life with a 20.76 percent stake.
