S. Korean supermarket ordered to recall ginseng tea

SEOUL, Dec. 18 (Yonhap) -- South Korean health authorities ordered Lotte Mart
Friday to recall a honey-ginseng tea product found to contain higher bacteria
content than the permissible level.
The Korea Food and Drug Administration (KDFA) said the "WiseLect honey-Ginseng
Tea" manufactured by Samhwa Hanyang Foods Co. and sold by Lotte, has been found
to contain 390 bacteria per millimeter, almost four times the allowable level
which is 100 per millimeter.
Subject to the recall are the products with an expiration date of Dec. 16, 2010,
the KFDA said.
The WiseLect products, Lotte Mart's own brand, are sold in on-line and off-line
chains of Lotte Mart.
