LEADERS, FOREIGNERS AMONG YEMEN TERROR RAIDS KILLED

SANA'A, Dec. 19 (Saba) - Al-Qaeda leaders were among those killed in the raid on a terrorist training site in south Yemen on Thursday including Muhammad Saleh al-Kazemi, Moqbil Abdullah Awadh Sheikh, Ahmed Abdullah Awadh Sheikh, Methaq al-Jalad and Abdullah Awadh Sheikh.

According to new reports the operatives supported al-Qaeda terrorist cells in the country through providing them with funds and shelter.

Fresh information also revealed that there was a number of foreign terrorists who were killed but could not be identified including Saudis.

However, police could identify a Saudi, Ibrahim al-Najdi, and found the ID of Mohammed bin Mohammed Rajeh al-Thara'an.

Other five unidentified foreign terrorists were buried after the successful operation in the district of Almahfad, Abyan.

Early Thursday anti-terrorism troops launched ground and air strikes against Qaeda hideouts and training sites in Abyan in the south and in Sana'a in the north killing and arresting about 51 al Qaeda suspects including some 'would-be suiciders.'

On Friday, police held 4 suspects at Aden hospitals of those who were wounded in the Almahfad raid.

They survived being killed and were taken to hospitals by their relatives, according to the authorities.
