Police seize 2 drug cars in eastern Yemen

HADRAMOUT, Dec. 19 (Saba) - Police in
Yemen's eastern province of Hadramout have seized two cars carrying large quantities
of drugs.
The seizures took place in different locations in the Wadi Hadramout, with people
from Tarim city in the province and the northern province of Hajjah arrested.
Investigations were launched as a prelude to turn over the arrestees to the judiciary.
In recent years, Yemen has tightened security along its coast and land passages
within cracking down on drugs trafficking.
Tones of drugs were seized and dozens of dealers arrested, some of whom had already
gone on trials.
