Yemen, Sudan hold customs talks

SANA'A, Dec. 20 (Saba)- Yemen and Sudan, both represented by the two countries' customs authorities, held on Sunday focused talks
over reinforcing the bilateral customs cooperation, training and qualification in the field of fighting smuggling and exchanging information and visits.

Yemen Customs Authority chairman Ali al-Zabidi affirmed, during the talks, the
importance of communication between the two countries concerned authorities to
serve the common
interests, saying that "this meeting is the kick off start for a joint active
partnership." He reviewed the process of update and development in the customs
sector in Yemen.
For his part, the Sudanese chairman of Customs Authority Saif Sulaiman projected
the importance of customs in stirring the international economy and facilitating
the movement
of commercial exchange, affirming the significance of these activities in promoting
the exchange of information between the two sides.
He praised development of Yemen in the customs sector, noting the importance of
exchanging expertise and visits between the two sides and asserted readiness of
Sudan to
provide all experience for Yemen in this regard.
