Arab Conference for Industrial Information and Networks convenes

Riyadh, December 20, 2009 (SPA) -- The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King
Abdullah bin Abdulaziz stressed today the importance of developing the industrial
sector, technology transfer and inculcating the spirit of creativity and innovation
in the industry to enhance their competitiveness and facilitating access to the
world.

The King welcomed the convening of the Fourth Arab Conference for Industrial
Information and Networks in Riyadh under the slogan of "Industrial Information with
advanced technologies - the way to develop Arab Industry."


In his address in the opening ceremony presented by Minister of Trade and Industry
and Chairman of the Saudi Standards and Quality Organization ( SSQO) Abdullah bin
Ahmad Zainal, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques said that the conference
represented a pivotal role in the development of Arab industry and the transfer and
resettlement of modern technology. "It is one of the main pillars that will enable
us to access to global products and services that reflect the reality of the Arabs
and keep up with developments and changes taking place in the contemporary world
and overcome the challenges and difficulties facing Arab industry."
