MORE REBELS CAPTURED IN JAWF

JAWF, Dec. 21 (Saba) - A security source in Jawf governorate said on
Monday that the security forces in the governorate have managed to
capture eight Houthi loyalists.

The source told the military-run 26sep.net that the arrested include
"Sultan Turki Kharasan", who is a leader in the al-Houthi gang along
with seven others in al-Hazm area of Jawf governorate.

Capturing those rebels has been carried out after a tracking
operation for days.

A few days ago, a rebel leader has been killed and other Houthi
followers injured while attempting to infiltrate to Jawf
governorate, Eastern Sa'ada.

The killing of Ahmed Hamoud al-Qatwani, 33, and the injuries were
coordinated by security forces and tribesmen who fired at the car
that was driven by al-Qatwani.

According to military sources the Houthi strength and resources were
fade ing, with the insurgents being confused as the troops were
advancing on them at many war fronts in addition to surrendering of
many of the rebels.

On the other hand, the 26sep website the security forces in Sa'ada
have seized 21 cars and trucks carrying supplies, foodstuffs and
fuels were on their way to the rebels.

A military source affirmed the end of the rebellion is very close in
Sa'ada governorate and Harf Sufyan of Amran governorate. He said
that the rebels are being struck strongly lately.

On Sunday, the military website said that the rebel leader Abdul
Malik al-Houthi has seriously been injured in Matara district, but
survived being killed and fled to another area inside the Sa'ada
governorate.

The army has intensified attacks against the insurgents and
continued to cleanse many northern areas of them.

The fresh confrontations, which started in mid August this year,
come within a six-year-long war against the Houthi loyalists in
Saada and Harf Sufyan district in neighboring Amran governorate.
