Daewoo Shipbuilding wins 750 bln won order for oil tankers

SEOUL, Dec. 22 (Yonhap) -- Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co., the
world's No. 3 shipyard, said Tuesday that it has clinched a 750 billion won
(US$633 million) order to build 10 oil tankers for a Greek shipper.

The order from Almi Tankers SA calls for Daewoo Shipbuilding to deliver the
vessels between the end of 2011 and the end of 2013, the shipyard said in a
regulatory filing.
Daewoo Shipbuilding has won orders to build 28 ships including the 10 oil
tankers, which are worth US$3.7 billion, so far this year.
