NATIONAL DIALOG CONFERENCE DELAYED TWO WEEKS

SANA'A, Dec.22 (Saba) - The preparatory committee of the national
dialog conference announced Tuesday that President Ali Abdullah
Saleh approved the committee's request to postpone the
conference for two weeks.

This came during the committee meeting, chaired by Speaker of the
Shoura Council Abdul Aziz Abdul Ghani.

The committee affirmed that it would work, during this period, on
providing all necessary provisions to hold and succeed this
conference.

Meanwhile, the committee continued its discussions on the procedural
matters, focusing on the preparations for holding the national
dialog through forming the committees specialized in the technical
assistant secretary and approving nominations of these committees
and their functions.

The Shoura Council has approved to hold a meeting to discuss the
preparatory procedures to start holding the dialog sessions under
the dome of the council by the date specified in the President's
call, on December 26, and providing the appropriate atmosphere for
that.

On December 14th, Saleh sent a letter to the Shoura Council over
launching a national dialog that should gather all political and
social forces as well as civil society organizations under the
constitution and national principles.

The President Saleh's call for a comprehensive national dialogue
under the supervision of the Shoura Council aims to address all
crucial issues at the national arena.
