Telangana MLAs also ready to resign: K C Rao

Hyderabad, Dec 22 (PTI) Telangana Rashtra Samithi
(TRS) chief K Chandrasekhar Rao Tuesday hit back at those
campaigning against the formation of a Telangana state, saying
the proponents can also cause a constitutional crisis as over
100 MLAs (Members of Legislative Assembly) from the region are
ready to quit.

He again warned of a "catastrophe" if the promise of a
separate Telangana with Hyderabad as its capital does not
materialise and opposed Indian Government's discussions on the
issue with opponents.
"If Telangana statehood is not realized, then there
will be a catastrophe," Rao said.
Criticising the leaders from coastal Andhra and
Rayalaseema, he said public representatives from Telangana
regions are also ready for creating a Constitutional crisis.
"Can't we create a Constitutional crisis? 100
Telangana MLAs are ready to resign. Telangana MPs would not
back out," he said, addressing a meeting of his party workers
at the TRS headquarters here.
"I tell the Central Government, if you don't give
Telangana with Hyderabad intact, if we raise our fists...
Telangana is known for its sacrifices and fighting spirit.
Will you put us in jails, will you kill us? Out of four crore,
four lakh of us will die, but we will take Telangana. It must
come," he said.
Finding fault with the Centre for holding discussions
over the formation of Telangana state, he said the government
should show fairness and justice. (MORE) PTI SJR
