Lotte Giants signs San Francisco pitcher Ryan Sadowski

SEOUL, Dec. 23 (Yonhap) -- South Korean pro baseball club the Lotte Giants said
Wednesday it has signed San Francisco pitcher Ryan Sadowski to a one-year
contract.

Sadowski, 27, will play for Lotte in the 2010 season for US$200,000, with an
additional $100,000 signing bonus, according to the Busan-based club, which
finished fourth in the eight-team single league in the 2009 season.
The right-hander, who played for the San Francisco Giants in his first Major
League season this year, has recorded two wins and four losses in some 28 innings
with a 4.45 ERA.
The Lotte Giants, led by Jerry Royster of the U.S., has been looking for a new
starting pitcher to replace closer Jonathan Adkins, who earned 26 saves for the
team over the season.
