By Nam Kwang-sik
SEOUL, Dec. 23 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's Daelim Industrial Co. said Wednesday
that it has signed a US$500 million preliminary deal to build a chemical plant in
Jubail, Saudi Arabia.

The deal was awarded by the state-run Saudi Arabian Mining Co., also known as
Ma'aden, the South Korean builder said in a regulatory filing.
In October, Daelim Industrial clinched a $325 million deal with Saudi Kayan
Petrochemical Co. to construct a chemical plant in Jubail, which is slated for
completion by Dec. 10, 2010.
