Sungdong Shipbuilding wins orders worth $400 mln

SEOUL, Dec. 23 (Yonhap) -- Sungdong Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co., a
South Korean shipbuilder, said Wednesday that it has secured orders worth US$400
million to build seven vessels.

The deals with Asian and European shippers brings this year's total orders for
Sungdong Shipbuilding to $1 billion, it said.
Sungdong Shipbuilding is the world's 10th-largest shipyard with order backlogs
totaling $6 billion.
