YEMEN, GULF FMS TO CONVENE IN SANA'A
SANA'A, Dec. 24 (Saba) - Well-informed sources said on Thursday that
the Foreign Ministers of Yemen and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)
States are to hold a meeting early in 2010.
The sources told the weekly 26 September that the GCC Secretary
General Abdulrahman al-Attiyah will attend the meeting to be held
next January.
The sources said that the meeting will touch on the results of last
GCC summit held in Kuwait that asserted the GCC states' support to
the unity, stability and security of Yemen.
Moreover, the meeting will review several reports submitted by the
GCC Secretariat General on triggering the economic and development
partnership in addition to discussing various Arab, regional and
international issues that concern Yemen and GCC states.
The Kuwait summit has also called on, in its closing statement, the
donor countries and organizations to hurry up fulfilling their
commitments to Yemen that have been offered in the donor conference
held in Landon in 2006.
