Prasad said, "The results are a victory for secular
forces. We will explore the formation of a secular government
in Jharkhand."
He suggested that the leaders of secular alliances --
Congress-JVM(P), RJD-LJP and JMM should sit together and
explore installation of a secular government.
Former chief minister Babulal Marandi exuded
confidence that the Congress-JVM(P) alliance will form the
next government in the state.
"I have been saying that the Congress-JVM-P will
emerge as the single largest alliance, and it will be able to
form the government," Marandi told newsmen. "All well-wishers
should support our alliance," he said.
JMM Central Committee Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya
said, "Let the results officially be announced. But, the
party's stand is whoever will support Guruji (JMM chief Shibu
Soren) for chief ministership), will get our support."
JMM has won 9 seats and is leading in as many seats in
the 81-member House. PTI PVR
