MODERATE QUAKE HITS PAPUA
Bengkulu, Indonesia, Dec 25 (ANTARA) - An earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale hit Indonesia's easternmost province of Papua on Friday.
The epicenter of the quake which struck at 11.11 a.m. was located about 30 km southeast of Nabire in Papua at a depth of 10 km, according to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG).
The tremblor was strongly felt by residents in Nabire at III-IV on the Modified Mercall Intensity (MMI).***
