UNPAID PLN BILLS REACH RP3.9 BILLION
Bogor, W Java, Dec 26 (ANTARA) - Up to the third week of December 2009, the unpaid electricity bills of state-owned electricity (PLN)'s subscribers in Bogor, West Java, have reached Rp3.9 billion, a PLN official said.
"In December alone, the unpaid bills amounted to Rp2.6 billion," Supervisor of PLN Bogor's Receivable Unit, Agung Raharjo, said here on Friday,
Agung said that the amount of the unpaid electricity bills consisted of 44,316 accounts which had fallen due of 28,450 customers. "This can be seen from the unpaid bill sheets of the customers," he said.
Therefore, Agung called on the customers to pay their bills before December 30, 2009, otherwise PLN would cut off their power connections.
"We are giving them until December 30, 2009 to pay their arrears after which we will cut off the power supply," he said.
He said that it was a consequence the customers had to accept because PLN had already given them a warning.
