FM briefs Arab diplomats on al-Qaeda strikes circumstances
SANA'A, Dec. 28 (Saba) -
Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi briefed on Sunday Arab states' ambassadors on the
circumstances
of the military strikes against al-Qaeda.
During his meeting with the ambassadors, Al-Qirbi noted that the decision of the
military strike against al-Qaeda has been taken from along time but postponed, in
order
not to open a new military front in the circumstances of military confrontations
with the rebels in Saada.
Al-Qaeda has gone too far in carrying out terrorist actions against security
facilities and threatened the country's interests that have led the government not
to delay
the strike decision any more, he added.
Concerning the Houthi rebellion, the Minister reviewed the efforts taken by the
government to deal with al-Houthi's rebellion, affirming that the government's
readiness
to tackle all their legitimate demands only if they handed over their arms and
complied with law and constitution.
The meeting also dealt with the developments in the southern movement and the call
of President Ali Abdullah Saleh for a comprehensive national dialogue includes all
Yemeni
political powers under the supervision of Shura Council.
