Yemen, Syria sign roads minutes

SANA'A, Dec. 28 (Saba)- The Yemeni-Syrian Joint
Technical Committee tasked with roads and bridges signed on Sunday their 4th meeting
minutes.
The minutes included the level of performance in roads and bridges projects in
Yemen as well as the possibilities of Syria to benefit from Yemen experience in
this field.
The minutes was signed by Deputy Minister of Public Works and Roads Abdul-Wahab
al-Hakim and Director General of the Syrian General Corporation for Roads Yousuf
Hamoud.
The two sides agreed to hold the next meeting of the Committee in the second half
of 2010 in Syria.
Following the signing of the minutes, al-Hakim affirmed the importance of the
Committee's work to reinforce cooperation relations between Yemen and Syria in the
field of
roads and bridges as they are the vein of life.
For his part, the Syrian official, Hamoud, expressed admiration for the achieved
roads in Yemen, saying they are constructed according the international standards.
