PERTAMINA WINS TENDER FOR NNT FUEL OIL
Jakarta, Dec 28 (ANTARA) - State oil and gas company PT Pertamina won a tender for the procurement of 446 thousand kiloliters of fuel oil for PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara (NNT).
Pertamina`s marketing deputy director Hanung Budya said here Monday the 3-year contract could be extended by 5 years until 2014.
"The 3-year contract at Newmont is worth 229 million US dollars, and for 5 years could reach Rp4 trillion," Hanung said.
He also said that in the contract Pertamina had beaten a number of other businesses like PT AKR Corporindo and Shell.
NNT is a Batu Hijau mining company in West Sumbawa regency, and started production in 2000. Pertamina is a state enterprise distributing subsidized and non-subsidized fuel oil in Indonesia.
In next year`s distribution, the Downstream Oil and Gas Supervisory Agency AKR Corporindo and Petronas Niaga Indonesia are Pertamina`s associates in the distribution of subsidized fuel oil.
AKR Corporindo will distribute 56 thousand kiloliters for North Sumatra covering Deli Serdang and Medan, then Central Lampung, South Lampung, East Lampung, North Lampung, Bandar Lampung, Banjarmasin, and Pontianak, while Petronas only distributes subsidized fuel oil to Medan.
