In Rajasthan, Mount Abu was the coldest place with a
minimum temperature of 2 deg C. Mercury dipped by two to five
deg C at many places including Jaipur, Bharatpur, Alwar,
Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and Sriganganagar districts due to dry
weather conditions.
Higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh continued to remain
under sub-zero temperature while cold winds lashed Shimla.
Keylong, the headquarters of Lahaul & Spiti district, was the
coldest place in the state with night temperature of minus
10.3 deg C.
Teeming with tourists on the eve of New Year, Shimla, the
queen of hills, witnessed a sunny day today.
Uttarakhand experienced dry cold conditions with the sun
shining brightly throughout the day. Dehradun recorded a low
of 6.0 deg C.
Traffic on Delhi-Dehradun national highway was affected
due to heavy fog.
The weatherman has forecast fog and mist in several places
