YEMEN, ITALY TALK SECURITY COOPERATION

SANA'A, Dec.31 (Saba)- Minister of Interior Mutahar al-Masri met here on Thursday with the Italian ambassador Mario Bofo to bid farewell to him on ending his tenure as an ambassador to Yemen.

The two sides discussed the security cooperation relations between the two countries and means of boosting them.

Al-Masri valued Italy's efforts in supporting the Yemeni Coastguard Authority and its efforts to secure the international navigation, affirming the strength of Yemeni-Italian relations which date back to more than 50 years.

For his part, the Italian ambassador praised Yemen's efforts in combating terrorism and sea piracy, voicing his country's readiness to present more support to Yemen especially in light of the successes and reforms witnessed by Yemen.
