Hunt after Yemen oil pipeline attack
SANA'A, Jan. 01 (Saba) - A hunt has been
launched after unidentified attackers put an explosive device at a Yemeni oil
pipeline in Khawlan
east of Sana'a, the capital, almotamar.net reported on Friday.
There was no fuel leakage because there was no significant damage to the pipeline,
according to the mouthpiece of the Ruling Party.
The attack left 2-cm deep holes on one of the pipeline's sides, it added.
The website citing local sources said a landmine might have been exploded at the
pipeline transporting oil from Ras Eisa in the Red Sea. Police rushed to the area
after
the explosion and started a probe into it.
Guards were dispatched to the explosion site under the orders of the Interior
ministry, according to the ministry's website.
