Hyundai Heavy aims to win US$17.7 bln orders this year

SEOUL, Jan. 4 (Yonhap) -- Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., the world's leading
shipbuilder, said Monday that it aims to win US$17.7 billion worth of orders this
year.

The shipbuilder also said it is targeting sales of 21.5 trillion won this year
and planning to spend 719 billion won.
Last year, Hyundai Heavy clinched $10.6 billion worth of orders, down 61.4
percent from a year earlier. Its sales, however, increased 6.9 percent to 21.3
trillion won last year.
