LG targets air conditioner sales of $10 bln in 2013

SEOUL, Jan. 5 (Yonhap) -- LG Electronics Inc. said Tuesday that it aims to double
its sales of air conditioners in the global market to around US$10 billion in
2013.

To that end, LG plans to ramp up power-efficient models and expand its business
into solar batteries and energy management, the company said in a press release.
LG has taken a measure to add its solar business unit, which was under the
company's chief technology officer, to the air condition division.
