Census Awareness Committee resumes works

Riyadh, January 05, 2010 (SPA) -- The Awareness Committee for the Census,
scheduled to be conducted this year this year, resumed last night its deliberations
and reviewed means of spreading awareness about the importance of Census among the
members of the society.


The meeting held under the chairmanship of Abdul-Rahman Al-hazza, the supervisor of
Internal information at the ministry of culture and information, dealt with topics
on its agenda.


Abdullah Al-batil, the deputy director of the Census project for operations'
affairs, briefed the participants of the meeting on the training programs for
officials who will carry out the process of conducting census in the Kingdom’s
various regions.


Meanwhile, acting Director General of statistics and information department Muhanna
al-Muhanna underscored the importance of enhancing cooperation with the media so as
to enlighten the citizens and residents on the goals of the general census and its
advantages.
