KFUPM and Japanese Center start New Research Program

Dhahran, January 06, 2010, SPA -- King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals
(KFUPM) has started a new research program in cooperation with the Japanese
Petroleum Cooperation Center and Research Institute at Nepon Company.


The research will be concerned with the influential factors on production diesel
with a low quantity of sulphur notably petroleum derivatives of heavy Arab oil.


Dr Suleiman Al-khattaf, the Director of the center of refining and petrochemicals
at the Research Institute, said the research program in cooperation with the
Japanese side will include conducting experiments on removing sulphur from diesel.
