Seoul shares trade 0.41 pct higher in late morning

SEOUL, Jan. 11 (Yonhap) -- South Korean stocks traded 0.41 percent higher late
Monday morning as institutional investors scooped up builders and financial
shares, analysts said.
The Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) advanced 7.03 points to 1,702.29 as
of 11:20 a.m.
Builders and financial stocks were among the bright spots. Hana Financial Group
rose more than 4 percent while Hyundai Engineering & Construction advanced more
than 3 percent.
The local currency was trading at 1,121.20 won to the U.S. dollar as of 11:20
a.m., up 9.80 won from Friday's close.
