Prince Salman Chairs Board Meeting of King Abdul-Aziz Foundation for Research and Archives

Riyadh, January 11, 2010, SPA -- Prince Salman bin Abdul-Aziz, the Governor
of Riyadh region, chaired here on Sunday evening the meeting of the Board of
Directors of King Abdul-Aziz Foundation for Research and Archives.


The Board of Directors was briefed on the Foundation's executed projects as
well as its future projects.

Its members congratulated Prince Salman on the occasion of the safety of Crown
Prince Sultan bin Abdul-Aziz, the Deputy Premier, Defense and Aviation Minister
and Inspector General.


The Board approved the participation of the Foundation in the third
international conference on the middle east studies, due to be held in Spain
next lunar month of Rajab.


The conference will be organized by the European Mediterranean Institute in
cooperation with the Independent University of Barcelona. The conference will
shed light on the major problems of the Middle East.


The Foundation will also organize, on the fringe of the conference, a seminar
on the Kingdom's social history in the 20th century and will present a
documentary film on King Abdul-Aziz. Additionally, the Foundation will organize
a Photo Gallery on the Kingdom’s history.


On the other hand, the Board of directors approved the final account of the
Foundation for the fiscal year 1428-1429H and discussed other related topics.
