STX Pan Ocean to spend US$200 mln on increasing fleet

SEOUL, Jan. 12 (Yonhap) -- STX Pan Ocean Co., South Korea's leading bulk-shipping
line, said Tuesday that it plans to spend US$200 million on new vessel purchases
this year.

According to the company, it is set to receive 17 new ships this year, more than
last year's 11 vessels.
STX Pan Ocean said that with the purchases its fleet will grow to 500 ships from
last year's 330 vessels
