Al-Amal Bank receives € 45,000 from FIDA

SANA'A, Jan. 13 (Saba)-Al-Amal Microfinance Bank signed a grant agreement on Wednesday at sum of € 45,000 presented by French
International Development Agency (FIDA).

The agreement was signed by the director of the bank Mohammed al-Lai and French
ambassador to Saba and director of the agency.
The grant aims at improving measures of bank to combat money laundering and terror
funding.The French diplomat said that such technical support from the French agency
is
a beginning for further cooperation between Yemen and France in field of combating
money laundering and terror funding.
He said that the bank would receive further support from the agency.
The director of bank said that such agreement is the first beginning for the agency
to support microfinance in Yemen.
