Latest situation of Lake Urmia

TEHRAN, Apr. 16 (MNA) – The volume of the water at Lake Urmia in the West Azarbaijan province, has reached 1.5 billion cubic meters, and despite efforts the lake has been experiencing a decline in its water.

Located in northwest Iran, Lake Urmia is the largest lake in West Asia and the sixth-largest Salt Lake in the world with a water surface area of 5,000 to 6,000 square kilometers.

Historical beach of Rishahr in southern Iran

TEHRAN, Apr. 08 (MNA) – The photo album shows the historical beach of Rishahr, which is located near the city of Bushehr in Bushehr province, southern Iran.
The artifacts discovered in this area date back to the first millennium to the third millennium BC.
The region of "Rishahr" was registered in the National Monuments List of Iran on September 16, 1931.
